The Last Vestiges of Fall

December 2, 2010

Fall has long past in my part of the world.  The trees are now naked against the grey sky, the leaves are no more than a soggy mulch that clogs the gutters and edges of the roads.  The air is colder and the reds and oranges of fall have been replaced by the lights of Christmas that are popping up around town.

These photos are from October, but I had forgotten about them until last night. So here they are, the last vestiges of fall.

The leaves are barely changing in California. These are wonderful to admire.
